The main goal of the notes are:
- Understand the statistical concepts, not just the formulas.
- Learn to use statistical software.
- Explore what happens behind the scenes so software output is meaningful rather than mysterious.
- Develop the confidence to analyze, interpret, and communicate statistical results in academic, professional, and research settings.
The notes are not meant to be a replacement for a statistics book. They are meant to be:
- A self-paced learning option for beginners.
- A complement for sessions teaching data analysis as they focus on specific procedures and software applications.
- A refresher for those who want to keep up with some fundamentals in data analysis.
The notes are ‘alive’ in the sense that new material will be added and/or existing content will be updated and expanded. For this reason material for members-only cannot be downloaded, it can only be accessed by subscription to this portal.
Membership is $9.36 (+ applicable tax) for 12 months. You can cancel anytime before the renewal time. Once cancelled, you can still access the material until the remainder of your subscription.
